# How do I choose who appears in the team calendar?

Use the visibility switches for locations, teams and people to choose who appears in the team calendar.

Open in Kinmu: <https://my.kinmu.app/en/dashboard/locations>

## On the web

1. ### Set location visibility

Open **Locations**, select the location and find **Permissions** › **Team calendar visibility**. Change the switch and select **Save Changes**. A confirmation shows the location was updated.

2. ### Set team visibility

Open **Teams**, select the team and find **Permissions** › **Team Calendar Visibility**. Change the switch and select **Save Changes**. A confirmation shows the team was updated.

3. ### Set an individual exception

In **Users**, open **Edit user** for an employee. Under **User settings**, change **Visible in the team calendar**. The change is saved immediately.

## If you don’t see it

- Your company needs **Team calendar**.
- The team switch is hidden when its location disables visibility.
- The individual switch is hidden if the location or team disables visibility, or the person has a manager or administrator role.

## Common questions

### Does this decide who can open the calendar?

These switches control who appears inside it. Access to open the calendar is a separate company permission. Being able to open the calendar and having your absences shown in it are different things. For employees, being hidden also removes access. The company can additionally reserve access for managers.

### Can I show someone from a hidden team?

The individual switch is not available while the team is hidden. Enable visibility for the location and team before changing the employee’s setting.

## Result

The saved settings determine which people appear, together with the calendar’s location and team filters.
