# How do I set up night hours?

Set the night-time range and daily maximum in My company › Night hours.

## On the web

1. ### Open night hours

   In **My company**, open **Night hours**. Your current settings appear.

2. ### Enable counting

   Turn on **Count night hours**. The start, end and maximum fields appear.

3. ### Set the range and maximum

   Set **Start time** and **End time**. In **Max. hours/day**, choose 1–24 hours or leave **No maximum**. The form shows the range and daily cap you selected.

4. ### Save the settings

   Select **Save changes**. **Night hours updated** confirms the change.

## If you don’t see it

- You need a company administrator role.
- If the range fields are missing, enable **Count night hours**.
- Both times are required when counting is on.

## Common questions

### What changes when I enable it?

Kinmu counts hours worked within the time range as night hours, up to the daily maximum you set. The Excel sheets **Detalle\_fichajes** and **Resumen\_diario** also show **horas\_nocturnas**, but use a fixed 22:00–06:00 range independently of this setting.

### Does this guarantee compliance with night-work rules?

No. Kinmu helps calculate hours using your settings. Your company remains responsible for the rules that apply in its country.
